Contributions to Computer Science:
She came up with the general idea for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS by inventing frequency hopping. The main purpose of it was to allow torpedoes to find their target, but it was used mainly for the making of Wi-Fi. The idea was to keep changing frequencies of radio waves, making it very difficult to intercept the radio waves.
